Lets face it.  During this time of pandemic and social unrest, nearly everyone’s daily routines have been thrown a curve ball.  Potentially, every aspect of our lifestyle habits has been challenged In some way.  Motivation to be eating well, keep moving and remain positive and engaged can be wearing thin as we navigate these turbulent waters.

For some though, feeling poorly began prior to the external threats and events.  Perhaps as a result of personal life transitions and changes that impact our physical and emotional health.  And the additional challenges have further derailed our efforts to live our best life.

I hear the term, a “new normal”, almost daily.  It’s hard to imagine ever being able to return to “normal”. And I’m not sure that’s the goal.  Maybe its time to refresh, reboot and reset.  This crises could be an opportunity in disguise.  An opportunity to make conscious choices about what‘s valuable and worth the effort of making some meaningful changes. My question for you is this:

Are you waiting to see what “the new normal” is going to be and hope that it works for you?

or,

Do you want to create your very own version of what “your new normal” might be?

Instead of marking time until our external world determines its okay to return to some version of normal, maybe we each individually take action to move toward our personal “new normal”.  Ask yourself - what’s getting in the way of you feeling as good as you possibly could?

  • Has your daily routine been derailed?  Having a hard time getting back on track?

  • Are the usual things that use to work, like how and what you eat or exercise, not cutting it?

  • Are you feeling overwhelmed by the options of what to do next?

  • Are you tired of trying to figure it out on your own?

Maybe its time to hit the “reset” button on your metabolism.

The efficacy of your metabolism determines whether your food is converted to energy or stored as fat.  It regulates the mechanisms that impact your blood sugar and insulin dynamics and subsequent cholesterol production.  Your metabolism determines the speed and adequacy of how your cell’s talk to one another  -  slow and sluggish or brisk and responsive.  How your body and mind function as a whole is the direct result of how effective your metabolism is.

So, if healthy metabolic function is this important, what regulates metabolism?  We do!  Our daily choices around food, movement, rest and relationships are the primary drivers.   Our daily choices directly impact whether our metabolism works for or against us.

  • Would you like to be more active with less pain?

  • Do you have the energy you want to not feel exhausted at the end of the day?

  • Do you want more mental clarity, less brain fog?

  • Would you like to feel lighter and leaner?
